Analyst

This position includes providing guidance to Advantien’s customer service reps and customers (based on an understanding/analysis of data, as well as an understanding of basic accounting principles), high-level AR/AP functions, and maintaining our pricing database. The ideal candidate would be somewhere in between a financial/data analyst and a medical device product manager (e.g., understands what the products are, beyond part numbers in a spreadsheet).

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., vlookup, pivot tables, complicated formulas) is a must. Basic understanding of macros is ideal. 

  • Must be able to analyze data (i.e., uncover opportunities, propose actions), not just summarize data.

  • High attention to detail is critical.

  • Excellent follow up and organizational skills.

  • Able to prioritize and multitask.

  • Problem-solving skills; able to offer solutions, not just ask questions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in medical device field a plus; experience with orthopedic implants ideal.

Customer Service

Customer Service members of our team form close relationships with the materials managers of their dedicated accounts. Through superior customer service, earn the trust of both customers and vendors, ultimately forming an close working relationship with all customers/vendors.  Data entry is about 10% of the job; 90% of the effort is problem solving, reconciling discrepancies, and communicating with vendors and customers, and going above and beyond to support our customers and vendors. Superior customer service is the key to Advantien’s success. 

Requirements

  • Effectively prioritize and multitask.

  • 2+ years of recent customer service experience.

  • Basic Excel skills required, advanced Excel skills (e.g., vlookup, index/match, pivot tables) ideal.

  • Experience in medical field a plus (e.g., knowledge of how/when/why medical device sales reps interact with surgery center staff and surgeons).

  • Experience with orthopedic implants ideal.
